Leonard Asper is a 30-year veteran of the media industry. He has a proven track record of growing and transforming companies, networks and content organizations across every platform globally.
Through the 2011 purchase of Fight Network, the subsequent acquisition of IMPACT Wrestling, the creation of the Game Plus channel and other launches and acquisitions, Asper, as founder and CEO, has built Anthem Sports & Entertainment Inc. The fast-growing global multiplatform media company delivers sports, entertainment, music and lifestyle programming to some 150 million TV homes globally; its networks are also available on nearly every major streaming service and reach a vast audience via various other digital and mobile platforms.
Anthem's robust portfolio includes AXS TV, HDNet Movies, IMPACT Wrestling, IMPACT plus, Fight Network, GameTV, Game+, and Pursuit Channel, as well as a content library of over 4,000 hours of premium and classic sports and entertainment programming.
A graduate of Brandeis University and the University of Toronto Law School, Asper remains a member of the Ontario Bar and of the Board of Overseers at Brandeis’s International Business School, where he also founded the Asper School for Global Entrepreneurship.
